More than half of the nation's electric power generation depends on burning coal.  Coal combustion products are the remaining residues after coal is burned to generate electricity. Ash and emission scrubber materials comprise the majority of these materials produced by various types of boiler and combustion processes.

 There are 600 facilities in the United States.

 47 states have facilities generating CCP materials.

According to our annual industry survey:

•  There are 125 million tons of potentially reusable Coal Combusion Products generated annually.
•  43 percent of this material is reused/recycled annually.
