NXP’s CGM reader is a secure, optimized and highly integrated platform designed to connect with CGM and other wearable patches in home care and clinical environments.
The system architecture features a multiprotocol MCU with Bluetooth Low Energy 5.4, Wi-Fi 6, a security subsystem and an LCD controller. To ensure continuous device operation and simplify PCB design and BOM, the platform includes a PMIC with battery charging and gauging. For enhanced connectivity, an NFC reader is included, enabling easy pairing and data access from NFC-enabled patches. A secure element is recommended to protect sensitive data and comply with stringent security standards.
