2024 Achievements

In 2024, we:

  • Increased our number of ERG chapters from 27 to 32, adding new groups in Mainland China, Austria, France and the Czech Republic.
  • Grew ERG global representation overall. NXP now has nine primary ERGs with global representation across Asia, Europe, Mexico and the US.

  • Asian Cultural Team

    To provide professional development, cultural celebration and education, networking, recruiting and community outreach opportunities for Asian and Asian-Pacific employees at NXP.

  • Black Achievement and Leadership Team

    To create a strategic advantage for NXP by making it the premier employer of Black talent through recruitment, development, advancement and retention initiatives.

  • Emerging Professionals / Young Community

    To attract, develop and retain young and emerging professionals at NXP through engagement in the company and the community.

  • EQUAL

    To promote a work environment at NXP, where Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ) employees are fully included in all aspects of corporate life, helping the company grow and maintain its market leadership. To work with allies and family members of LGBTQ people to promote NXP as a great place to work. To provide support and outreach to community organizations providing services to the LGBTQ community.

  • Hispanic Education Awareness Team (HEAT)

    To enhance the value for NXP by attracting, developing and retaining talented Hispanic and Latino employees while providing educational awareness to increase the engagement of our Hispanic and Latino communities.

  • NXP Interconnection

    To support, develop and retain NXP employees with diverse backgrounds through engagement, events and networking.

  • No Extra Planet

    To create opportunity for sustainability enthusiasts from all NXP sites to actively engage in and support NXP’s journey to climate neutrality through ongoing dialogue in business and grassroot actions.

  • United Veterans

    NXP's Veteran ERG is a dedicated internal community that shares the experience of transitioning to corporate life, while also building a sense of camaraderie and mentorship.

  • Women in NXP (WiN)

    To shape and sustain an equality-oriented business culture that fully values and uses the talents, contributions and perspectives of women to maximize individual and organizational performance.

Global ERG Engagement

Membership is open to all NXP team members, and each ERG has defined missions and executive oversight. We track progress through membership metrics and participant feedback, with ERGs hosting over 300 events in 2024, including professional workshops and cultural activities.

Collaborative efforts include celebrating International Women’s Day, with more than 60 events globally and raising the Pride flag at our sites. Our ERGs also commemorate various observances such as Black History Month and Hispanic Heritage Month.

Additionally, we partnered with over 15 nonprofit organizations, focusing on science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education, community wellness and sustainability, while organizing more than 50 community engagement opportunities in 2024.

We also work to increase representation of women and other under-represented groups in the technology field through collaboration with universities and diverse talent pipelines.

Examples of 2024 activities include:

  • Workshops with the mint:pink initiative in Hamburg, providing schoolgirls the opportunity to develop their interest in STEM subjects.
  • The Women in Tech program in India, which promotes STEM education, encourages innovation and experiential learning to women students from 40 colleges across India.

ERG External Partnerships

When possible, our ERGs also partner with external organizations committed to advancing STEM education, community wellness and sustainable environmental practices. For example, in 2024, our ERGs raised and donated funds and led volunteer opportunities.

NXP engages regularly with our ERG leaders, meeting several times a year to share regular updates about our focus and progress, while listening for areas of opportunity to consider.

Developing Our Diverse Workforce

One of the ways that NXP works to develop its diverse team members is through participation in the NXP Leadership Development Program (LDP).

ERGs additionally facilitate inclusion training and host events to promote career development. They also initiate mentorship platforms like Building Pathways by Women in NXP India and NXP participates in professional-development conferences such as the Texas Conference for Women and the Black Engineer of the Year (BEYA) Conference.
